Six Down and Six to Go?
In the past six months we've found an amazing apartment, traveled to some beautiful beaches, found work in our professions, and seen some incredible animals. David has improved his English level so much and is focusing on making moves in his profession. I finally got CELTA certified, started French lessons again, have been improving my fitness and worked a lot on this blog!
However, despite our endlessly turquoise photos, it hasn't been all rainbows and butterflies.
I've struggled with an anxiety disorder, it took David months to find a job in his profession and our future is uncertain. But these challenges are part of life, and they make our achievements much more rewarding.
So six months down, and six to go?
At the moment we are trying to figure out our next move.
Travel around Asia?
Move to another country?
Try to stay here?
The visa struggle is real over here at the Alzamendi household, but I have faith that we will make the right decision.
Here's to another 6 months of adventure, challenge and creativity in the Land Down Under with David by my side!

I've lost rings in all sorts of bodies of water: the ocean, rivers, lakes ... so after the fourth, or fifth time of losing rings ... I've finally learned to take off my rings before entering the water.
David, however, has never owned a ring before. Initially, he didn't want one. When I slipped on his wedding ring in Gibraltar on February 19, 2016, it was quite the struggle to get on! During our honeymoon in Thailand we visited numerous beaches and David's ring stayed put.
Last Thursday, we had the day off for Australia Day (a quite controversial day, but day off nonetheless.) We decided to go to Suttons Beach, in Redcliffe, Queensland.
